Thanksgiving

So finally I am posting on Olivia's first Thanksgiving. She had a blast as you can see. We gave her the traditional baby's 1st turkey leg and she had at it! I just thought she would lick it or suck on it, but no, she took a big chunk of it out and proceeded to shove it in her mouth. I was so surprised, but couldn't stop taking pictures. It was so funny. She of course was the hit of the holiday wearing a beautiful brown velvet dress from Pottery Barn. I have been so excited for her to wear that. I purchased it before she was even born! Then her after meal outfit was a cute little turkey onesie with the words, gobble til you wobble! So funny. We had a really good holiday and hope you did too. It's now December and she is doing so much. She's crawling all over the place and standing up in her crib. She's starting to pull herself up on to things and just today took two steps while holding on to the couch. She's a mover and a shaker! We're working on balancing and the next step will be walking. I can't believe how big she is getting and how smart our little girl is. She pretty much said her first word. The other day she was sitting in her high chair, looked over at Ty and said da da. It was adorable. He totally shed a tear. She's definitely daddy's little girl, and she DEFINITELY has daddy around her little finger! We're off to get holiday pictures tonight, so I will post those as well. Her first Christmas is going to be the best!

The teeth

I finally got a good picture of her teeth. They really are some chompers!! Don't get your finger near her teeth. She knows how to use them!

Look at our big girl!

Our little big girl is getting to be so independent. As you can see she sits up all by herself of course and she's totally on the move now. Just the other day she started army man crawling. It looks a little more like a wounded soldier, but she's getting places. I think she just might bypass the whole crawling thing and go straight into walking. She has such strong legs and she doesn't have as much interest in crawling. She's on the move so much, she can no longer be trusted on her changing table, so when I change her diaper and take her clothes off to change her, she has to go in the crib. But now, she's learning to pull herself up and she looks at me from her crib like: look what I can do mommy. It's so adorable. She loves to laugh like a panting dog when she gets really excited, and that's just what she did standing up in her crib. It was so funny.
Also, just last night she waved goodby for the first time as my grandparents were leaving from dinner. It was so cute. She did it a couple times so it wasn't just a fluke. She gave me a half wave as I left for work today. Not a complete wave, but I'll take it. She's babbling so much and she's starting to repeat. I love it. I can tell her to say dadadadadada, and she does! Although mamaaaamaaa was her first "word," she isn't saying it as easy anymore. But hey, she's only 7 1/2 months.
Olivia is so excited for her first Thanksgiving. She can't wait to get her hands on the traditional baby's first Thanksgiving turkey leg (pictures to follow). We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday, and good luck to everyone going out on Black Friday. I may need the luck as well. Happy Thanksgiving!!

Crazy Olivia sounds

I finally did it, I uploaded a video! This video is hilarious. I was at home on lunch today and Olivia was in her playpen making the funniest faces and noises and I just had to record it. She makes these weird inhale laughs that sound so funny. I love it, and as you can tell in the video, I can't stop laughing!!

7 months and 2 teeth

Well, Olivia has just turned 7 months this past Sunday and she couldn't be more excited. She's doing such grown up things now. The picture is of her on the swings at our park. She loves going on the swings. She sits up in highchairs and on her own on the floor. She isn't crawling yet, but she's trying very hard. She rolls all over the place, but going forward hasn't happened yet.
I can't believe it's already November. Time is flying by and we can't wait for Olivia's first Thanksgiving and then her first Christmas! We'll have to uphold the tradition of the new baby with the turkey leg. Yum! Unfortunately she won't be able to eat it, but she'll look cute with it. She's just finishing up vegetables right now with sweet potatoes and then she'll start fruit. I'm sure she'll love that!! She hasn't seemed to dislike any foods yet besides green beans, but it was her first taste so you can't blame her for being a little shocked.
Olivia had a blast on her first Halloween and she was totally adorable in her lamb costume! Of course we scored with tons of candy. Baby can't have any, but yay for mommy and daddy!!
This past month has been huge for baby babble. It sounds like she says mama all the time. I LOVE IT! Of course I'm going to count that as her first word, but it may just be babble. She always seems to cry mamamamamamaaa!! It's so sweet and completely melts my heart! I love that little doll face.
These next couple of months she'll have learned a lot of new things and will probably get even more teeth. It's crazy, but she's growing up!!

Christening

This is Olivia's Christening picture. Doesn't she look perfect?

First Foods

Saturday I gave Olivia her first taste of baby food. She had green beans. As you can tell from the pictures, she did not like it. Her face was totally priceless! She hated it. She looked at me like: how could you do this to me mama? I feed her the green beans for lunch and dinner and by Sunday she liked it a lot more. At first she would only accept about half, and now she's eating the whole thing. She's such a big girl! Her tooth is coming in nicely and she's sleeping a lot better now. Whew! Thursday we will be starting peas. Sorry baby, but you've got to make your way through the veggies and this is one of them. She'll be happy when she gets to the fruits. Olivia also had her 6 month photos done and of course they are adorable!!
This is her fall picture in leaves. She had a blast. Of course she was incredibly smiley and so excited to take pictures. She's a born model of course, look out Gap casting call!! She's going to be a lamb for her first Halloween and of course we had to take that picture as well. Here she is being the most adorable lamb ever! She posed her hands like that too, I didn't. Totally top model!

*Tooth Fairy*

OLIVIA BROKE HER FIRST TOOTH TODAY!! It's happening, teeth are on their way. Our little girl is becoming a big girl. I can't believe it. It seems so soon, but she's right on track. Of course it's incredibly tiny, just a bud for now, but when it gets bigger I will definitely take pictures. My mom found her little tooth bud this morning while she was chewing away on my mom's finger. She's been more fussy than normal and not sleeping well at all and now we know why. I'm glad it's the tooth and not her generally angelic behavior is changing! Yay!! Saturday she will be starting her first foods and green beans are on the menu. There are sure to be pictures from that as well!

Apple Hill Baby!

Saturday we went up to Apple Hill to eat yummy apples and pick out a pumkin from Cardanini's Pumkin Patch! This is Olivia's first year at Apple Hill. Last year she was in mommy's tummy. It's crazy how time flies. She's already 6 months and in another 6 she'll be ONE!! I can't believe it. We had so much fun. We went with Grandpa, Sara, Cory, Ava, Brian, Jen and James!! This is James' first time at Apple Hill also, he is 4 days younger than Olivia. They love each other and have an arranged marriage! Just look at that picture, that's love!! The kids looked absolutely adorable in the pumpkins!! Of course we had to prop them up against the pumpkins, but they're just learning to sit up, so what are ya gonna do?

Making friends!

Cristina and I went to lunch with Jenna on Friday and we went to the club after to visit Kelly. We put the kids in the double stroller and just had to take pictures of them! Olivia and Spencer had so much fun together. He also tried holding her hand, it was so cute. Hopefully her boyfriend James doesn't get jealous. She has boyfriends everywhere. Spencer is just about a month older than Olivia.

Also, Olivia is starting to sit up. In the picture above she's sitting up in her cousin Ava's chair. She can only sit up a lone for about 30 seconds, but she's doing really good. She rolls over all the time now and soon she'll be scooting around and army man crawling!! She tried crawling the other day and she just scooted backwards! Tomorrow Olivia will be 6 months! It's crazy how big she's getting and how time is flying by. This month is going to be full of events, it will be her first time to Apple Hill to pick out a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch and then on to her first Halloween. She's going to be a lamb! There will definitely be pictures!! Keep watching because Marine World pictures will be up soon and in the next week she'll have her Christening.

Roll Baby Roll!

She's finally done it, Olivia has rolled over for the first time!! She's not like most babies who tend to roll from their tummies to their back, she's rolling from her back to her tummy. It's much more difficult to master that and that's her m.o. She's so advanced and she likes to jump to doing something babies her age aren't expected to do, instead of doing the things she is expected to do. Expect the un-expected when it comes to this little buggy!! I've been waiting so long, I hear of other babies her age rolling over and I've been waiting for her turn (of course with a camera in hand at all times). Of course it finally happens when I'm at work!! :( It took her all night, but she rolled over for mommy at Natalie's house. I'm sure there's no stopping her now. Many more discoveries to come as well. She just turned 5 months on the 2nd and she's still so excited from that birthday, as my grandparents would say. This month she'll be going down to L.A. for the first time and meeting a lot of family she hasn't seen yet. We also went to the California State Fair this year making this her "technical" 2nd time there. She was in mommy's tummy last year getting second hand nachos and funnel cake, yum! Also, we'll be heading down to Marine World at the end of the month for daddy's company picnic. It should be fun! We are also planning on having Olivia Christened probably the beginning of October. Hope to see everyone there. We will definitely have invitations out in the next couple weeks so keep an eye out!

Big Girl OAT

Olivia is getting so big. Everyday it seems like she is doing something new. She is now able to hold her bottle all on her own! She's still a little wobbly at it, but for the most part she can do it herself! It's so free-ing for her mommy! However, I definitely have to keep an eye on her because if she drops it, she throws a fit because she can't get it back on her own. She's only 4 1/2 months, she's not there yet!! She's definitely showing interest in what mommy and daddy eat though. She's just a couple months shy of starting solid foods. Also, she's been pulling her head up a lot trying to sit up. It's crazy. She shouldn't be trying to sit up until around 6 months. She's so advanced!! Our baby genius. :)
In other news, Little Ideas is almost up. I've already done a couple jobs for people and I'm hoping to go live by next week and start "advertising" to others. Please spread the word in any way you can. It would be much appreciated!! Stay tuned for new Olivia news, and anything else that goes on in the Tanner family!!

Big Girl!

Our big girl is sitting up in her Bumbo all by herself! She's getting so big. I love the way she's looking at me in this pic. Like I've totally interrupted her watching tv to put a camera in her face. That's mommy though.
She loves watching tv. All the movement totally has her in a transe!

Happy

Olivia just wanted to say she hoped everyone had a great Fourth of July. Her first was the best!! She went into the pool for the first time and her great grandparent's house. It was so much fun.

3 months!!

Yesterday Olivia turned 3 months old!! She's doing so great. She's holding her head up more and talking (coo-ing) so much. And it's official, she's all about giggling! It's the cutest thing ever and the best sound I've ever heard. I've been trying to download a video of her talking, but I haven't had much luck with it yet. I thought I was a lot more techy than that, but it's hard when your stinkin camera battery dies! I'll have it up soon. Until then I'll have to just post more pictures of my big girl! Olivia has been sleeping through the night for quite some time now and she usually acts as my alarm clock. At around 6:30 every morning I'm blessed to be able to wake up to the sound of my daughter talking away in her bassinet. It's so much better than the annoying EeRh! sound from the alarm clock! I haven't been posting a lot lately because I've been completely wrapped up in starting my own business. My mom and I have decided to go forth with our "talents" and start up a website. Hers will be Gramma Jo's Hair Bows and clearly she will be making bows for little girls. My website is called Little Ideas, Inc. and I am going to be handmaking canvas wall hangings, plaques, hair bow holders, and much more! We're so excited, but there is a lot of work to be done until we're able to launch our sites. We're hoping to go live in August. Everything is going great for the Tanner family and Olivia is very excited for her very first 4th of July. Have a happy and safe holiday!!

Our little Tootsie!

Olivia is smiling every day, but she's on the verge of laughing now. It's so adorable. The other night I was giving her a bath and she was having so much fun she started to giggle. Usually when she giggles it scares her and she starts to cry, but this time it was all giggles. Also, since our little girl is on the gassy side, we started calling her tootsie. She loves it! Ava calls her Toot! She's doing a lot better with lifting her head. She had tummy time and Grandma Jo's house and she was lifting her head to look at a dancing mouse toy. We're hoping to get her to lift her head more by the end of the month. She also got a penguin as her toy to focus on to lift her head and it came with a star registry code. She now has her own star in the andromeda constellation. Andromeda was greek princess. Olivia is our princess. It is known now as Olivia Addison.

Our first!

Since my good friend Cristina decided to do a blog about her family, I decided to do one as well. I thought it would be a great way to keep everyone updated about our lives and about our growing little girl. New news about Olivia is that she's smiling all the time! It's so adorable to see. She's on the verge of laughing but she's so confused by her emotions that it scares her a little and she starts to cry. At her last doctors visit she weighed 11 lbs and was 22.75 inches. She's growing so much! The other amazing news is that she is starting to sleep through the night! I had no idea just how lucky I was until talking to other moms who can't get their children to sleep more than 2 or 4 hours straight! I thank my lucky stars every day that God sent me an angel, in more ways than one!! Our beautiful little girl is doing great and we're so excited for all the new things she's going to start doing and learning.
