Arrrr!!

So it's December and I'm just putting up pictures from Halloween...I have a newborn and a 1 1/2 year old, sue me! This year Olivia was a pirate. If you asked her, what does a pirate say, she'd respond ARRRR!! That's what she's saying in this picture. Ever since the Pirate Treasure episode from the Backyardigans, Olivia has been in love with pirates. One time we were at Babies R Us and she just kept saying, I'm a pirate! The lady at the register loved it! So of course, she had to be a pirate for Halloween. She was SO adorable!!
Since Jake had just been born 4 days before his first Halloween, I figured there was no costume tiny enough. So instead of a costume, he wore a babies first Halloween beenie with matching pumpkin socks and an orange onesie that said: This IS my costume. It was too cute! We all went trick or treating with Ava in her neighborhood and Olivia got lots of candy, and instead of saying trick or treat or even thank you, she just said ARRRR!

Jake Robert Tanner

He is finally here. Jake was born Tuesday October 27th, 2009 at 12:48pm

He weighed 8 lbs 8 oz and was 20.5 in long. He is absolutely perfect!

We are so excited to have him and Olivia could not love her brother any more. It's so cute!

Jake is doing great and already back up to his birth weight. We just had his first doctor's appointment this morning. He is perfect! Thank you to everyone that was at the hospital when he was born and for everyone that came out to see him at our open house. We really appreciate everyone's love and support. Thanks!

Our big girl

I took Olivia to get new pictures taken because she hasn't had pictures since she turned one and she clearly has lots more hair and even has more teeth, finally! This time around was A LOT more difficult to get a good picture than it ever has been. Not only because I am 9 months pregnant but because she just loves to run around. Sitting still and looking at the camera is not her top priority. Some how we got some beautiful and great shots of her and even one with mama. That one was by pure luck. Trust me, I don't know how the photographer got that one, I literally grabbed her sat her down and smiled for the camera and had no idea what she was doing. As you can tell, she was luckily flashing that million dollar Livie smile. She's even showing off new teeth!! The tooth count is now up to 8 but it has stopped (at least for now). She has her top and bottom 2 front teeth and top and bottom 2 molars, but that's it. No mouth full of teeth just yet. I guess we'll have to wait until her second birthday for more teeth to appear. Not sure.

Olivia will be 18 months on Friday and so begins the real countdown for when her new little brother comes. My due date is October 27th, but I have a strong feeling he will be making his grand entrance just a bit early. I'm not sure why, I just have this feeling he's ready to go and he's ready to go now. A month early may be a bit too early, but I'm ready at any time. This time around has been a lot more trying than it was with Olivia. I'm going to chalk that up to carrying a boy. He's just showing me what boys are all about and giving me fair warning. Olivia is very excited about becoming a big sister. I don't think she really understands what is about to happen, but if you ask her where Jake or her brother is, she'll point to her own tummy and say brudder. It's so cute. Then you can correct her and point to my tummy and she will hug or kiss it and some times say Jay, which means Jake.

Olivia talks a lot, but you might not always understand what she's saying. She says full sentences but not full words. You have to just know what she's talking about. Or she just babbles and says the last word clearly. She's a blast. She's getting so big, time is going by so fast. We'll keep the blog updated on Jake's arrival.

Baby Jake in 3D!

Here is a 3D picture of our little Jake. We got some really good ones this time around. We think he's a cutie already! We have just about 2 months left until we get to meet him and we couldn't be more excited. Hope everyone enjoys this little sneak peek at Jake!

Drum roll please...

This is it.. We've finally decided on a full name for our new little boy. Jake Robert Tanner. Jacob is Ty's middle name so we shortened it to Jake and Robert is my dad's middle name and Ty's grandfather's first name. So we have officially named him and named him after very important people. Our little Jake is expected to arrive around October 27th, so about 95 days to go!!

Little Brother!!

It's official, IT'S A BOY!! Snips, snails and puppy dogs tails this time!! Olivia is very excited to have a little brother. And daddy can't wait for his little boy. I am very excited as well. I can't wait to have blue stuff, shop for boy clothes and all that. It's going to be such a difference. I'm so excited. The only unfortunate part is, I have no idea what we're going to name him. I'm so stuck with naming this kid. I don't seem to love anything, and I have to love my baby's name. Ty is stuck on Jake and just loves it. We'll have to see if it grows on me or not. I don't dislike it. We may come up with a couple names and put a poll out to see what everyone thinks. For now, it's baby boy Tanner... Although Ty is telling everyone it's Jake!!
Hopefully this obvious picture isn't too innapropriate for some viewers eyes!

Sorry I haven't posted any pictures from Olivia's 1st Birthday. I finally decided to, a month later. :( She had an absolute blast. If you were there, you saw her take a bite out of her birthday cake just with her mouth. No hands!! It was hilarious. Everyone laughed. We had her birthday along with her boyfriend James' party since they are only 4 days apart and totally in love! James had a chocolate cake that was all over the place, and some how Olivia didn't get any of her cake on her. It was all over her face and hands, but nothing got on her dress! That's my girl!!

She had such a nice time with all her friends and family. And she loved all of the presents she got. She got so many cute outfits and some great toys. She looks like such a doll in her clothes. And this summer is sure to be fun with all the new bathing suits she got. She'll be the cutie at the pool! Thank you every one that made it out and everyone that wished her a happy birthday!

Baby #2

Here is the first picture of new baby Tanner. We had our first appointment about 2 weeks ago and everything is looking great. Strong heartbeat and growth. The baby's heart beat was about 150bpm. Not sure if that means boy or girl just yet, but we should be able to find out in the next month. We're hoping for a boy, but another girl would be just as amazing as our first one was. Stay tuned to find out what we're having and be prepared for a name poll. We don't have anything nailed down yet and I feel like this time around may be difficult to pick one out!

She's almost ONE!!

Tomorrow is one week until Olivia turns ONE!! Already. Can you believe it? It seems like just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital. She's getting so big. Everyday is something different. She's trying to walk but not having a lot of success yet. She's made a couple steps, but nothing completely solid yet. She's babbling as usual but not talking yet. She'll get there. She's a total scavenger for food though, if you have it she wants it! She loves "adult" food. She ejoys anything she's able to eat, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, beans, rice etc. Shortly she'll start on Vitamin D milk and NO MORE FORMULA!! Finally the day is here. Unfortunately we will start formula again at some point with the new baby, but for now NO MORE!! We hope everyone will be able to make it to Olivia's first birthday. It's going to be a blast.
We're also sharing it with her boyfriend/best friend James.
He will be turning one as well and we just had to get their pictures taken together!!
How adorable is that? They love each other. We're sure to get some great pictures of the two of them at the birthday party and I'm sure we'll get some awesome cake pictures!! Olivia loves cake!! She'll definitely dig in!

Guess what....

Olivia feeding daddy

Olivia just loves feeding her daddy. On Saturday night she couldn't stop feeding him tortilla chips. Daddy ate so much and needed some water. We finally had to take the bag away from her because he couldn't eat any more. It was hilarious!!

OAT oh!

I just wanted to share this picture of our adorable Burger Queen! My grandpa brought Burger King over to my mom's house the other day and brought Olivia a crown and she loved it! She smiled when my mom put it on her head and was sad if it fell off. Also, her newest thing is saying OH, and making that adorable face. Oh! It's so cute.

New Year in So Cal

This year we had our New Years in L.A. at my uncle Mike's house. We had a blast and poor Olivia just couldn't keep her eyes open to see the ball drop. But she had a good time. After all the hooplah, we went to visit my Aunt Di and her family at their condo in Pismo Beach. It was Olivia's first trip to the beach. It was so much fun, she loved the sand and of course tried to eat it. Yuck!
We had a lot of fun walking down the pier. We saw a huge pelican that was right next to us. It was nuts! Olivia got a souvenir starfish from a stand. Grandma wrote Olivia's name in the sand and we took her picture right before she tried to put a big chunk of sand in her mouth. She's very curious. She is all about exploring and learning. She's going to be very smart.

Christmas Time

I haven't posted in a while and I'm a bit behind. Olivia had such an amazing Christmas, we have so many pictures. We did a lot in December. We went to Apple Hill to pick and cut down her very first Christmas tree. It was huge, but perfect in every way! Then we went up to Auburn to see Santa. She loved him. She didn't cry or anything. It was freezing cold so she was all bundled up. Then we had Christmas eve at GG Lopez's house.

Olivia had a great time with family and got lots of cute clothes and fun toys! She didn't really understand how to open presents, but she tried. I thought she would love ripping into the paper, but she didn't. Definitely next year! Then Christmas morning we went over to my parent's house to open more presents and get more clothes. It was great. The day begins after that and we had many places to go. After we get all our gifts together and go home to get ready for the day, we traditionally stop by Janice and Mark's house for brunch. Every year she takes our picture as we come in. Here is a picture of last year and this year. Last year baby in belly, this year baby out! After we visit with them, it's off to my aunt's for lunch. Sometimes we'll have sometime in between that, and visiting Randy and Shannon but this year it was go go go. After that we go to Ty's dad's house and visit with them for dessert. At the end of the day we're finished visiting everyone and we go home and put together Olivia's new toys.

Here are a couple of pictures from Olivia's holiday photo shoot. She was adorable, as usual:
