She's almost ONE!!

Tomorrow is one week until Olivia turns ONE!! Already. Can you believe it? It seems like just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital. She's getting so big. Everyday is something different. She's trying to walk but not having a lot of success yet. She's made a couple steps, but nothing completely solid yet. She's babbling as usual but not talking yet. She'll get there. She's a total scavenger for food though, if you have it she wants it! She loves "adult" food. She ejoys anything she's able to eat, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, beans, rice etc. Shortly she'll start on Vitamin D milk and NO MORE FORMULA!! Finally the day is here. Unfortunately we will start formula again at some point with the new baby, but for now NO MORE!! We hope everyone will be able to make it to Olivia's first birthday. It's going to be a blast.
We're also sharing it with her boyfriend/best friend James.
He will be turning one as well and we just had to get their pictures taken together!!
How adorable is that? They love each other. We're sure to get some great pictures of the two of them at the birthday party and I'm sure we'll get some awesome cake pictures!! Olivia loves cake!! She'll definitely dig in!

Guess what....

Olivia feeding daddy

Olivia just loves feeding her daddy. On Saturday night she couldn't stop feeding him tortilla chips. Daddy ate so much and needed some water. We finally had to take the bag away from her because he couldn't eat any more. It was hilarious!!

OAT oh!

I just wanted to share this picture of our adorable Burger Queen! My grandpa brought Burger King over to my mom's house the other day and brought Olivia a crown and she loved it! She smiled when my mom put it on her head and was sad if it fell off. Also, her newest thing is saying OH, and making that adorable face. Oh! It's so cute.

New Year in So Cal

This year we had our New Years in L.A. at my uncle Mike's house. We had a blast and poor Olivia just couldn't keep her eyes open to see the ball drop. But she had a good time. After all the hooplah, we went to visit my Aunt Di and her family at their condo in Pismo Beach. It was Olivia's first trip to the beach. It was so much fun, she loved the sand and of course tried to eat it. Yuck!
We had a lot of fun walking down the pier. We saw a huge pelican that was right next to us. It was nuts! Olivia got a souvenir starfish from a stand. Grandma wrote Olivia's name in the sand and we took her picture right before she tried to put a big chunk of sand in her mouth. She's very curious. She is all about exploring and learning. She's going to be very smart.

Christmas Time

I haven't posted in a while and I'm a bit behind. Olivia had such an amazing Christmas, we have so many pictures. We did a lot in December. We went to Apple Hill to pick and cut down her very first Christmas tree. It was huge, but perfect in every way! Then we went up to Auburn to see Santa. She loved him. She didn't cry or anything. It was freezing cold so she was all bundled up. Then we had Christmas eve at GG Lopez's house.

Olivia had a great time with family and got lots of cute clothes and fun toys! She didn't really understand how to open presents, but she tried. I thought she would love ripping into the paper, but she didn't. Definitely next year! Then Christmas morning we went over to my parent's house to open more presents and get more clothes. It was great. The day begins after that and we had many places to go. After we get all our gifts together and go home to get ready for the day, we traditionally stop by Janice and Mark's house for brunch. Every year she takes our picture as we come in. Here is a picture of last year and this year. Last year baby in belly, this year baby out! After we visit with them, it's off to my aunt's for lunch. Sometimes we'll have sometime in between that, and visiting Randy and Shannon but this year it was go go go. After that we go to Ty's dad's house and visit with them for dessert. At the end of the day we're finished visiting everyone and we go home and put together Olivia's new toys.

Here are a couple of pictures from Olivia's holiday photo shoot. She was adorable, as usual:

Thanksgiving

So finally I am posting on Olivia's first Thanksgiving. She had a blast as you can see. We gave her the traditional baby's 1st turkey leg and she had at it! I just thought she would lick it or suck on it, but no, she took a big chunk of it out and proceeded to shove it in her mouth. I was so surprised, but couldn't stop taking pictures. It was so funny. She of course was the hit of the holiday wearing a beautiful brown velvet dress from Pottery Barn. I have been so excited for her to wear that. I purchased it before she was even born! Then her after meal outfit was a cute little turkey onesie with the words, gobble til you wobble! So funny. We had a really good holiday and hope you did too. It's now December and she is doing so much. She's crawling all over the place and standing up in her crib. She's starting to pull herself up on to things and just today took two steps while holding on to the couch. She's a mover and a shaker! We're working on balancing and the next step will be walking. I can't believe how big she is getting and how smart our little girl is. She pretty much said her first word. The other day she was sitting in her high chair, looked over at Ty and said da da. It was adorable. He totally shed a tear. She's definitely daddy's little girl, and she DEFINITELY has daddy around her little finger! We're off to get holiday pictures tonight, so I will post those as well. Her first Christmas is going to be the best!
